The library team at Teachers College recently returned from the American Library Association Annual Conference in temperate San Francisco, CA! It was fantastic to have the whole team out at ALA and we presented two poster sessions and three discussion sections during the conference. My exhaustive coverage of the event is available on the EdLab Blog: Friday and the weekend.
Meredith designed the poster that I presented and she did an amazing job! Here’s the finished product:
People were very interested in the content and the materials that I brought for the session were all gone in minutes! I had never presented a poster before and it was a very interesting experience; I had to dust up all the elevator pitches I used to use attending edtech networking events. That experience definitely came in handy because it was a lot more like networking than presenting. All the attendees had great questions about the products, especially Roomer and DocDel.
We were also able to slip away from the city as the conference was closing to enjoy some R&R in Muir Woods.
